Most Sacred Heart of Jesus: I place all my trust in you…
We, the people of God of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Westhoughton, respond to God’s call to:
Reflect the light and love of God the Creator, Mother and Father of us all; the infinite mercy and compassion of Jesus Christ; the empowering grace of the Holy Spirit…
Support our welcoming community of diverse persons and families; our active and full participation in liturgies and celebrations; our spiritual growth in scripture, sacraments and community…
Commit to love, serve and challenge one another; to sustain the Earth, our neighbours near and far, the poor, the marginalised; to be healing instruments of justice and peace.
Parish Priest: Fr Christopher Dawson JCL
Giving:
Thank you to everyone who supports our parish through the weekly collection. If you are able, you may wish to consider giving by standing order instead. Regular giving helps the parish to plan ahead and reduces the amount of cash that needs to be counted, handled and banked each week.
You can download and complete the standing order form below or alternatively, using the bank details on the form set up via your own online banking.
Gift Aid Declaration
Gift Aid allows the parish to claim an extra 25p from HMRC for every £1 you donate, at no extra cost to you. If you are a UK taxpayer and eligible for Gift Aid, please complete the form and return it to Father Christopher or Lisa Spann after Mass.
You can download and print the form here, or pick up a paper copy from the church notice board.
Piety Stall
Our Piety Stall offers a lovely selection of gifts, cards and devotional items for a variety of occasions, all at very reasonable prices. The stall is open before and after Mass on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings.
